She has widely travelled to remote and insurgency-affected areas of the North-east and Jammu & Kashmir and has had the unique experience of interacting with a cross section of people and troops wherever she has travelled. Besides publication of her poems and articles in dailies, the author's poems have found a place in books published by the Govt. of India on 50 years of Indian Independence.
